This past weekend saw 4 Young Men take on some challenges that built resilience, resolve and self-confidence in a way that can honestly say was inspiring.
.
From learning navigation basics as well as using the natural world around them to find direction, identifying helpful flora and extracting water from trees to hunting for yabbies, earthing and even a mind-blowing hands-on demonstration of Water Divining, these Young Men came from 4 very different walks of life yet worked and played together as one.
.
I for one wish I could’ve taken more photos, and wish that the photos I did take could truly demonstrate the feelings and energy when one lad went from refusing a very daunting hill-climb to instead charging ahead and inspiring the rest of the group to keep going further.
Or the wonder and earthly connection felt when witnessing wild deer or taking a moment to truly focus on feeling our oneness with nature.
The pride when something you made out of natural materials provides you with a warm meal or clean water.

I am humbled to have been entrusted by these Young Men and their Guardians, and I am hoping to see more at the next YMBR in just a few short weeks…
