November 28, 2023📢 Important Update: Reinstatement of Dog Policy at Cedarvale Park🐕
Dear Cedarvale Regulars and newcomers alike,
We want to share a significant policy update with you regarding the presence of dogs on our property. After a brief hiatus with a ‘no dogs’ policy, we have taken the much needed time to re-evaluate and refine our approach. We believe these changes will create a more enjoyable experience for all campers.
The decision to suspend our dog policy stemmed from a series of irresponsible behaviours that regrettably impacted the overall experience for our guests. Upon closer examination, it became clear that these occurrences were the exception rather than the rule. We are grateful for the responsible and respectful conduct of the majority of our campers, who share our commitment to maintaining a tranquil and harmonious camping environment.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the introduction of new regulations for dogs at Cedarvale Park. These changes will be effective from the beginning of December 2023, just in time for the upcoming school holidays:
📋 New Dog Regulations:
🐕 Limitation on Dogs: Cedarvale Park will now allow a limited number of dogs on the property at any given time. Only five dogs will be accommodated simultaneously. This measure aims to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. So if you plan on camping with your furry mate, please book in advance.
💵 Dog Registration and Fee: To bring your dog to Cedarvale Park, guests must register their pet upon booking. We will continue with the $10 fee per dog per night. This fee will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our facilities.
📝 Compliance with Regulations: Dog owners are responsible for ensuring their pets comply with all campground rules and regulations, including leash requirements, waste clean-up, and noise control. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in owners having to find alternative boarding arrangements for their pets during the remainder of their stay.
📅 Availability: Availability for bookings with pets is limited, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ensure you make reservations well in advance if you plan to bring your dog.
🚫 Guest Responsibility: Dog owners are accountable for any damage caused by their pets. Any excessive disturbance or harm to other guests or wildlife due to a dog’s behaviour will result in appropriate actions taken by Cedarvale Park management.
We understand that many of you have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to bring your four-legged companions back to our campground, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this hiatus.
We believe that these new regulations will help us strike a balance between accommodating our furry friends and ensuring a peaceful experience for all our campers.
Thank you for your cooperation and support and we look forward to seeing you and your 4 legged mates soon.
Sincerely,
The Team at Cedarvale Park
